What it is
A puzzle that begins complete.
Born Solved is an edge-matching puzzle made from identical-looking hexagons. Plain black lines cross each edge, and every touching edge must continue those lines without interruption.
The design is printed as one continuous solved sheet before the pieces are cut apart and scrambled. The original manufactured arrangement is the born state: a known answer that can be regenerated from its seed.
Entropic Notation
The code is not what is drawn. It is where.
Fixed positions along an edge are called stations. A letter is the choice of stations crossed by visible lines. The stations never appear on the piece; only the crossings do.
Letters are distributed evenly and mirror-balanced, removing rare markings and making a flipped piece statistically ordinary.
The mathematics
The arrangement space grows beyond physical intuition.
For n hexagonal pieces, the raw arrangement count is n! × 12ⁿ. The factorial counts placements. The power of twelve counts six rotations on either face.
These are arrangements, not claimed solutions. The born state is the known manufactured answer.

CaDiCaL testing in progress
The earlier Kissat benchmark established a sharp increase in solving difficulty as puzzle size rose. A broader CaDiCaL test series is now being added so that solver version, hardware, variables, clauses, conflicts, decisions, propagations, memory, elapsed time and timeouts can be published together.
The revised hardness curve will appear here only after the expanded runs have been checked. Raw configuration counts, measured solver results and any extrapolation will be presented separately.

Frequently asked questions
What people ask first.
Is the born state the only possible solution?
It is the known manufactured answer. Any complete arrangement in which every line connects is a valid solve. No public claim of uniqueness is made without a formal proof.
Can the pieces be scanned?
Yes. Scanning reveals the markings perfectly, but it does not reveal their correct placement. The challenge is combinatorial, not visual concealment.
Is every puzzle reproducible?
Yes. A 256-bit seed and the generator reproduce the same puzzle exactly. Seeds and proprietary tuning parameters are not published.
Which sizes are planned?
The range is designed to run from an 8×8 entry edition through 16×16 and a 32×32 flagship.
